Popular YouTuber, photographer and adventurist Casey Neistat may have just won the award for most elaborate (and expensive!) surprise ever. Watch as filmmaker Casey Neistat books a last-minute flight from New York City to Cape Town, South Africa in order to see his love, Candice Pool, on New Year's Eve. 2 flights, 2 cabs, and a whopping 26 hours later, Casey arrives on her doorstep, only to be greeted by a completely shocked girlfriend who utters a couple adorable expletives upon seeing his face.

This video was shot in December 2011 and two years later, almost to the day the couple have tied the knot and of course they chose Cape Town for their venue! “Got married, it was awesome,” Neistat commented on his Facebook page after the December 29 wedding.
