Maricar Sebastian Reveals Son Jam Wants to Give up: "Gusto Na Raw Niya Magpahinga"

The couple and YouTube sensation Jam and Michelle more popularly known as Jamich have been going through a tough time since March last year when Jam Sebastian was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Due to their heart-breaking situation, Jamich have been continuously supported by their fans throughout their downfall. Most of the support came from social media, wherein the fans reach out all of their messages and prayers.  Some people even took the time and effort to donate for Jam’s expensive medications.

But after months of costly chemotherapy and diagnosis, another trial has yet to come. In a recent interview of GMA’s Startalk with Jam’s mother, it seems as though Jam has abandoned all hopes of getting better and wished for his suffering to end.

“Lagi niyang sinasabi ‘Ma pagod na pagod na ako.’ Gusto na raw niya manahimik, gusto na raw niya magpahinga,” Jam has also stopped undergoing chemotherapy and the session has been delayed for about two weeks now. According to his mother, Jam is still regaining his strength before undergoing chemo again.

The grief-stricken mom also said that her son is already considering ‘mercy killing’, or giving the authorization to put death to someone in a painless way. This can either be done with or without the patient’s consent, depending on the relatives.

Despite of this, Jam’s mother stood strong with her decision to encourage her son.

“As a mother hindi mo naman pwedeng ibigay sa kanya na alam ko pagod na siya, kaya lang sabi ko na ‘Huwag tayong susuko, laban lang tayo.’ Sabi ko ‘Ang Diyos hindi napapagod sa pagbibigay sa’yo ng buhay kaya huwag kang mapapagod,”

In her emotional statement, she said that she was hoping for a miracle that her beloved son will be healed. She also called out for their supporters and other people to continue praying and supporting them.

“Anak alam kong pagod ka na. Anak kasi kahit nahihirapan ka, mas nahihirapan ako pero hindi ako tumutigil sa pagdarasal na sana gumaling ka, na sana magkaroon ng miracle, ng milagro. ‘Yun ang lagi kong dinarasal, na sana magkaroon ng miracle. Huwag kang susuko anak. Nandito lang kami ng kuya mo, hindi ka namin pababayaan.”
