VIRAL: Female Police Officer Shaves Head in Mourning for the Death of 44 SAF members

January 30, Friday marked the National Mourning Day for the death of the 44 PNP Special Action Force (SAF) in that Maguindano encounter with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) last January 26.

The whole country was united with grief and sorrow of the death of the 44 SAF police. Throughout the country, many people were deeply affected and took time to express their sympathy.

Major networks, advertising companies, local newspapers, prominent people and even the common Filipinos showed mutual feeling of mourning. If that seems touching enough, just wait until you see what this woman did.

PNP officer Ronalyn Colita shaved her whole head as a sign of respect and lament for the death of her commando brothers. The picture of Colita having her long hair cut and shaved went viral after she uploaded it on Facebook at January 30, 22:59.

It symbolizes her craving for justice and also a call for the government to take action of the incident. This simple deed takes a lot of courage because we know that most women treats their hair like a crown of glory but Colita was willing to sacrifice it for her dead brothers.

On the other hand, the SAF troops were supposed to issue warrant arrest against the two high-profile criminals Basit Usman and Marwan but the scene uncontrollably turned into a deadly encounter. Not only did it kill many lives, but it also threatened to interrupt the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) or peace talk between the government and the MILF.
