WATCH: Angeline Quinto performs 'You raise me up' in Papal event at UST

Kapamilya star and singer Angeline Quinto still can't get over her delight as she was given the chance to perform in an event spearheaded by Pope Francis.

The Encounter with the Youth event that was held at the University of Santo Tomas last January 18 was attended by thousands of devotees hoping to see a glimpse of the head of the Catholic church.

Quinto, who is one of the devotees also felt overwhelmed by the presence of the Pontiff.

The 25-year old singer poured out her emotions to her thousands of listeners in her heart warming performance.

She belted out the well-known song by Josh Groban 'You raise me up', spreading the message of drawing strength from God in times of crisis.

Quinto, who was supposed to sing 'On Eagle's Wings' expressed in an interview that she felt honored. "Sa dinami dami ng singers, isa ako sa naimbitahan para pumunta doon kaya sobra akong excited."

"Sabi ko nga, kahit napakalayo ko kay Pope, basta iisa lang yung lupang tinatapakan namin, okay na ko." She added.

Meanwhile, a lot of Kapamilya stars also got the chance to serenade the well-loved Pope. Jamie Rivera, Erik Santos, Darren Espanto, Lyra Gairanod and Jed Madela performed in different papal events.
