Take Andi's case as an example. Andi undergo several dental treatments before he achieve a glowing smile that he has right now. Those were dental implants and ceramic veneers.
Dental implants, according to webmd.com, are replacement tooth roots. They provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match a natural teeth.
Meanwhile, a veneer, according to Wikipedia, is a layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the tooth's surface from damage.

“First step of planning: documentation with photos, videos, CBCT (computer tomography), study models and a talk with the patient for understanding his desires. The session lasted about 1 hour. Andi went home and we started to plan the case digitally. Planning is essential. We established the ideal teeth position and size. With the future position of the teeth and computer tomography we performed the ideal position of the dental implants.
Surgical step:
Dental implants were inserted and sinus lift was performed. Stiches were removed 7 days after surgery. After the intervention a period of 8 weeks was necessary for the osseo integration for the dental implants.
Prosthetics step:
According to the initial planning, we need a mix of ceramic veneers, ceramic crowns with pink ceramic. Crowns on implants will be fixed by screwing standard, allowing a better hygiene.
The preparation for the veneers was minimally invasive, about 0.1 – 0.2 mm, performed under microscope. No provisional were required. After two weeks the final dental works were ready in laboratory and then cemented.
