WATCH: Philippines To Be Hit By Summer Typhoon Next Week

A summer typhoon is expected to hit the Philippines as reported by several international weather agencies. According to NewsBeat Social, a tropical cyclone has formed in the Western Pacific and could enter the (PAR) Philippines Area of Responsibility. As of now, its effects cannot be felt yet but it may be by the middle of next week. The tropical storm Bavi is moving from Marshall Island toward Guam and the Philippines.

Both the US Navy and Air Force's Joint Typhoon Watch Center (JTWC) Has a similar track prediction. In JTWC's latest advisory, it said that the storm will pack a maximum sustained winds of 111 kilometers per hour and will gust wind up to 139 kph soonly after hitting Guam and enter the PAR by March 17. The regional specialized meteorological center in charge of monitoring the Western Pacific, Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), also issued a similar tropical cyclone advisory last Thursday. They also released the storm's predicted track until next week.

Meanwhile, the country's weather bureau, the Philippines Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) informed everyone that once the storm entered PAR, ti will be called Bagyong Betty as based on the list of tropical cyclones names for 2015 by PAGASA.
