WATCH: Kokoi of Team Sarah Wowed the Audience with his Reggae Hits!

The Voice of the Philippines is the ABS-CBN’s adaptation of the popular talent search that originated in the US. The shows’ twists and surprises left its viewers wanting for more. The success of its previous shows gave way to the latest season, The Voice Season 2 that started its airing on January 25, 2015.

The live performances started the show by featuring its different contestants from Team Sarah, Team Lea, Team Bamboo and Team Apl de Ap. One of the most remarkable contestants that prevailed from the live performances is from Team Sarah. He gave the show a fresh start with his cool voice and different genre. Kokoi Baldo from Bacolod hit the right notes with his song Love and Devotion.

Here in our country, we often deem belter or high notes singer as better because of the effort they put into singing. But unlike any other contestants, Kokoi’s genre is a bit different with his Reggae-like style.

He will prove that you don’t need to change your genre of singing to be a great performer. His voice will really soothe your ears, and will leave you speechless with his amazing guitar skills!

Even the netizens were astonished with his unique talent. Some even commented:

“Kokoi's forte is reggae, yes, so naturally, it's the genre that he's most comfortable with. He can be quite versatile, actually. He nailed it!”

Someone even jokingly said: “People who disliked this performance shall be hanged!”
