WATCH: How Does This 7-year old Boy Sleeps with a Snake?

For most people, snakes are terrifying creatures and they are not the kind of animals you would want as a pet. There have been a lot of death cases due to snakes, making them more frightening to the eyes of an average person.

That being said, it is not quite normal to witness a snake-man relationship. That’s why the 7-year old boy from Cambodia has made news all around the globe with his unbelievable relationship with a python.

Sambath has grown friendship together with the 5-meter long Burmese python. The kid has become fond of the snake and he seems to not be afraid of the reptile. In the video, you can even witness how he strokes and kisses the snake comfortably!

Just try to picture a small boy cuddling, playing and sleeping with a snake big enough to swallow a man. Sounds frightening, right?

Fortunately, the snake has been domesticated with its 6 years of care in Sambath’s home. Even the boy’s parents have become attached to it and they treat it as their own daughter.

According to the boy’s mother, when she was still pregnant of Sambath, she had dreamt about a snake that will protect her child. Indeed, when the child was born, the snake appeared to live in their house acting as a protector to the whole family.

On the other hand, most people who have witnessed this news are alarmed and concerned with the boy’s safety. Some even grew mad with the parents’ irresponsibility for raising the child with the snake because they fear that the snake might eat the child someday.

However, we should all be reminded that snakes are not really dangerous animals. They don’t usually prey on people unless threatened. And as long as they are well-fed, there’s really no reason for them to attack.

With Sambath’s case, we can say that it’s kind of safe because pythons are known to be docile and it has come to live with them for a very long time.
