WATCH: Tropical Storm “Maysak” rises to Category 5 Typhoon


Typhoon is a very common calamity of the Philippines. Every year the country experiences twenty typhoons. We have experienced strong typhoons like “Ondoy” and “Yolanda” with the international name “Haiyan” which had broken many homes and lives on Tacloban City, Leyte last 2013. But this summer, the Government sector The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration also known as PAG-ASA monitors the incoming typhoons in our country. According to PAG-ASA there will be a tropical storm that is coming into the Philippines this summer. The Tropical Storm with an international name “Maysak” or known as “Chedeng” in Philippines storm name categories. The said Tropical storm was upgraded to category 5, the news said that this category is a dangerous category for typhoons. According to Wikipedia.com the most deadly typhoons in Philippine History are as follows: September 1881 Typhoon which has a toll death of 20,000, Haiyan/Yolanda in 2013 which has a death toll of 6,241, Bopha/Pablo on 2012 which has 1,901, Angela Typhoon on 1867 that causes 1, 800 people that died, Winnie in 2004 with death toll 1,593, October 1897 Typhoon with death toll 1,500, Ike/Nitang on 1984 with 1,492, Fengshen/Frank on 2008 that kill 1,410 people and lastly Durian/Reming on 2006 with 1,399 people killed. The best way to be safe is to stay at homes. According to GFS, the typhoon will hit the shore April 5th at 9:00 local time.
