WATCH: Sandara Park’s Throwback Audition Clip in Star Circle Quest

Do you still remember the “Pambansang Krung Krung” Sandara Park?

Sandara, also known as Dara by her fans, started out humbly in the Philippines and ended as one of the biggest Korean stars today. At the present, our favorite chinita artist is a member of the international KPOP girl group 2ne1. Even though Dara has been recognized worldwide for her talent, she still hasn’t forgotten where she came from.

Her throwback audition clip will take us back to her first moments in the talent show Star Circle Quest. Way back in 2004, Pauleen Luna, a former artist of ABS-CBN were the one to convinced Sandara on joining the try out.

She portrayed her personal idol Regine Velasquez. The demo judges were the talk show host Boy Abunda, the former beauty queen Gloria Diaz and Laurenti Jogi. Young Dara was asked by Jogi on why she wants to be an artist and her response was:

“Gusto ko pong maging sikat at magkaroon ng maraming fans.”

Although Dara didn’t win she still managed to be a runner up. After the talent show, she was given the chance to appear in several TV commercials and then finally given her own big projects like her moview with Hero Angeles. Dara joined the YG Entertainment on December 2004.
