Basketball rookie Kobe Paras continues to follow the footsteps of his legendary father, Benjie Paras who is also a well-loved PBA player. At a very young age, Kobe has already shown affection towards the sport and his interest caught Benji’s eyes, who in return offered to hone his son’s ability.
The 17-year old teen is currently staying outside the country to pursue his dreams of becoming a basketball superstar. He’s playing for Cathedral High School and is planning to play next for University of California in Los Angeles.
His dunking skills last FIBA 3X3 Slam Dunk Contest made the Los Angeles’ local press amused with Paras and even Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson praised the ability of the teen. The Fil-Am player said in an interview that he would love to see Paras join them in the NBA soon.
According to a recent report from GMA News, Clarkson issued this statement in NBA.com: "I know some kids out here in L.A. like Kobe Paras that are doing well, and hopefully they’ll be on this level soon,"

Clarkson wants to bring out every youth’s potential and hone future basketball superstars. “I feel like I was a kid over there watching somebody else that made it, it would give hope, I’d want to do the same thing and continue to work hard and continue to put effort into basketball.”
