WATCH: Rene Requiestas Birthday Throwback on Kalokalike

The 90’s kids will surely be thrilled as one of our beloved Filipino comedians was reminisced in the Kalokalike Face segment in It’s Showtime.

The episode that aired on January 22 presented a man from Commonwealth, Quezon City who portrayed the remarkable comedian of the 90’s Rene Requiestas, dubbed as the one of the greatest comedians in the Philippine history.

The late actor and comedian seemed to rise from the grave when Gilbert Orcine impersonated him. Orcine’s appearance as Rene Requiestas was a perfect timing for the late comedian’s birthday. In fact, he even brought a small cake in the stage as a tribute.

The studio audience went hyperactive with his introduction muttering the lines of the comedian. He wore a one-sided dress, which can be remembered from one of Requiestas’ movie. He also carried the comedian’s noticeable facial expression and way of talking.

Orcine nailed his character especially with some distinct moves which entertained the studio audience. He even sparked laughter from the audience when he tried to get a kiss one of the show hosts, Vice Ganda as a sign of respect. The people seemed to enjoy his performance and even the commenters on Youtube remarked that he looks like Requiestas’ clone.

And of course, what would be his looks without a little performance? He showed his groovy dance moves and vocals as he sang ‘Chitae, Ganda Lalaki’.
